When this client approached me, she was looking to buy a house and land package for her dream home. Before contacting me, she had already signed a contract to purchase a block of land. However, she discovered that the land had conservation restrictions, and about one-third of it was reserved for conservation, meaning that the trees within the conservation area could not be cut down. She felt that something was not right and also noticed an increase in construction costs.
